About Luci Foundation

By removing financial barriers, we ensure that every young person has the chance to grow, compete, and thrive through sport.

The Luci Foundation is a foundation dedicated to supporting children and young people in Norway between the ages of 10-15 so that they can participate in sports and develop their sporting skills. Founded by Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, the foundation's overall goal is to make sports accessible to everyone, regardless of economic background.
Why the Luci Foundation Exists – Breaking Down Financial Barriers in Youth Sports
The Luci Foundation was established in response to a critical need: financial barriers are preventing many children and young people from participating in sports. In Norway, low-income status, as defined by Statistics Norway (SSB), often means families lack the financial flexibility to support their children's athletic pursuits.
Participating in sports can involve high costs, including equipment, membership fees, training programs, and travel—expenses that can be overwhelming for families with limited resources. The Luci Foundation works to bridge this gap, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive through sport, regardless of their financial background.
